We recently surveyed a large number of our users and had an overwhelming number of responses. While we received very high marks for overall satisfaction (thank you!), our users also let us know that there are still plenty of features that they’d like to see. We appreciate those requests and will do our best to implement them!
We also learned that many folks are requesting features that we already have! So in an effort to clear up those requests, below is a list of features that folks asked for but are already implemented on our site.
-
Customization - With our customization feature you can customize the exact rhythms, range and other attributes such as articulations, dynamics, and accidentals exactly to your needs.
Student accounts - You can purchase discounted subscriptions for your students where their accounts are linked to yours so that you can create assignments for assessment and view reports on their usage and monitor progress.
Customization for assignments - A popular request after we released customization was the ability to be able to customize the settings for the students when setting up an assignment. You can now do that with the Custom Levels feature.
Multiple Part Ensembles (Choir, Band, Orchestra) - You can generate multiple part full ensemble exercises for Choir, Band and Orchestra. You can also generate unison ensemble exercises for those mediums as well.
State/Organization Standards - We have started integrating state sight reading assessment or audition standards into our site. Currently we support the NYSSMA® sight reading standard and the All-Virginia Chorus audition criteria. We are also currently working on the VCDA Middle and High School Choral Assessment standard. You can change your standard on your account page. Would you like us to implement your organization’s standard? Let us know!
Solfege annotation - You can toggle on Solfege annotation on the last panel before you generate your sight reading. There are also other practice aids here such as disappearing measures, cursor, countdown timer, and a metronome track.
Please contact us and let us know how we’re doing or if there’s anything that you’d like to see!
